What color is your favorite song?

Have you ever thought about the relationship between music and color? Research shows that people correlate certain types of music with certain colors. For example, red is associated with strong, vigorous music and pulsating beats, and yellow with lively tunes.

Let's expand the concept further to artistic expression. How does music influence people's color choices when creating art?

"Colors and the Cochlear Correlation" is a research project which explores the answer to this question. Here you can read about our research and results, watch a slideshow, and see our showcase presentation. Be sure to check out the sites of the other team members too, and learn more about colors - and the cochlear correlation.
